- India - Reserve Bank of India cuts policy rate by 50 basis points to 6.75%.
- Germany - Import price index dropped -1.5% in August from July, down -3.1% from a year ago.
- Spain - Retail sales rose 3.1% in August from a year ago, compared to 3.3% expected and 4% prior. Preliminary reading shows HICP is down -1.2% in September.

- Portugal - Business confidence and consumer confidence to be released today around 9:00 GMT.
- Euro zone - Industrial confidence along with Economic sentiment, Business climate, services sentiment and consumer confidence all set to be released at 9:00 GMT.
- Germany - Preliminary reading on CPI and HICP to be released at 12:00 GMT.
- US - Goods trade balance to be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by Redbook index at 12:55 GMT and S&P/Case/Shiller home price at 13:00 GMT. Consumer confidence reading to be released at 14:00 GMT.
- New Zealand - Building permits for August to be declared at 23:50 GMT.
- Japan - Industrial production to be released at 23:50 GMT, along with details on retail trade.
- Auctions - US will auction 4 week bills at 15:30 GMT. Italy will auction 10 year bonds today.
