- Germany - GFK consumer confidence survey indicator remained at same level for August at 10.1.
- Switzerland - UBS consumption indicator rose to 1.68 in June from 1.62 prior.
- Spain - Retail sales grew at slower pace of 2.3% in June from 3.1% prior.
- UK - Mortgage approvals rose to 66, 582 in June. Net lending to individuals rose to £3.8 billion.

- UK - CBI distributive trades survey is expected at 10:00 GMT.
- US - MBA mortgage applications to be released at 11:00 GMT, followed by pending home sales at 14:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly crude oil inventory report at 14:30 GMT. FOMC will announce rate decision at 18:00 GMT.
- New Zealand - Building permits to be released at 22:45 GMT.
- Japan - Industrial production is scheduled for release at 23:50 GMT.
- Auctions - US will auction 5 year note at 17:00 GMT. UK will auction 10 year, while Italy will be auctioning 5 year and 10 year bond.
