- Australia - National Australian bank's business confidence rose to 5 in September, from 1 in august. Business conditions dropped to 9 from 11.
- China - Trade balance rose to $60.34 billion as exports dropped -1.1% y/y and imports dropped -17.7% y/y.
- Japan - Consumer confidence dropped to 40.6 in September from 41.7 in August. Preliminary reading shows machine tools orders down -19.1% in September.
- Germany - Consumer price index dropped by -0.2% in September from August and wholesale price index dropped -0.6% for the same period.

- Switzerland - Producer price index to be released at 7:15 GMT.
- China - Today China might release details of money supply and new loans.
- UK - Inflation data in terms of retail price index, consumer price index, producer price index and house price index.
- Germany - Zew survey to be released at 9:00 GMT.
- Euro zone- Zew survey economic sentiment to be released at 9:00 GMT.
- US - NFIB business optimism index to be released at 10:00 GMT, followed by Redbook index at 12:55 GMT and monthly budget statement at 18:00 GMT. FED's Bullard scheduled to speak at 12:00 GMT.
- New Zealand - RBNZ governor Wheeler scheduled to speak at 21:30 GMT.
- Australia - Westpac consumer confidence to be released at 23:30 GMT.
- Japan - Domestic corporate goods price index to be released at 23:50 GMT.
- Auctions - Spain will auction 6 month and 12 month bonds. US will auction 3 month and 6 months bonds.
