The women of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 are going through some personal developments in the upcoming episodes. As for Catherine (Debbie Allen), the focus of her own arc has been her bout with cancer that will peak with a dangerous surgery ahead. Meanwhile, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) also has some issues to resolve including two men completely swooned by her.
The highlight of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 11 is Catherine’s surgery to be performed by Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Koracick (Greg Germann). The preview for this week’s installment does not hide the upcoming dilemma that the medical procedure might end up killing Catherine just like Amelia fears.
At one point in the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 11 promo video, Jackson (Jesse Williams) is seen inconsolable and crying. It is normal to get this emotional when someone’s mother is on the operating table. But it could also be foreshadowing the worst for Catherine.
Meanwhile, Catherine’s condition and merely the ambiance in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital convinces Meredith that it is time to face his father in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 11. This signals the return of Thatcher (Jeff Perry) who currently lives in a hospice and is suffering from acute myeloid leukemia. Meredith has every reason to be upset with his father. But he will not live long and it would be a great relief for Mer to finally forgive her father if that is what will happen this week.
Moving forward to “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 12, fans can expect a much lighter mood in the hospital. But it is quite bizarre to see the Grey Sloan clad with Christmas decorations in February. Teaser photos show Link (Chris Carmack) dressed up as Santa and would possibly be handing gifts to their patients.
The synopsis for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 12 says a patient will give meaningful advice to Meredith with regards to being caught in a love triangle. Is Meredith finally ending the love triangle by choosing between Link and DeLuca in the coming weeks?
Fans thought DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) finally convinced Meredith he is worth the shot of having a relationship with when they almost kissed in the elevator. But Link was able to catch up after showing Meredith how he is naturally great with kids and how passionate he is of his job. New episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 air every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
