If you have seen the promo trailer released by the team then surely you already have a clue as to what is going to happen. Well, if you haven't then, you can watch it here.
Evident in the video is the life of Meredith Grey's (Ellen Pompeo) life under threatening situation as she is attacked and strangled by a patient. It is unknown though as to what caused the attack. In the new teaser released by ABC, Meredith could be seen using a mobile tablet while inside the procedure room. She was then attacked by the patient from behind and Grey was surely on the losing side.
Penny (Samantha Sloyan) was first to find to Meredith, and she shouted for help from the other residents. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) was seen next to respond to the scene.
In an interview with E! News, "Grey's Anatomy" cast member Kelly McCreary described the scene as "Meredith gets attacked and it's as gruesome and terrifying as it looks,". Sarah Drew added that Meredith will be completely powerless during and after the attack. "She is totally powerless in the midst of it all. I think that probably is the most terrifying piece of it for her," she said.
We shall find out more as "Grey's Anatomy" season 12, episode 9 will premiere on ABC on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
