With “Gotham” Season 5 being the last one for the prequel to the Batman story, its premiere is an event that fans will want to watch out for. There will be another new villain introduced along with the ones that are already in the small-screen adaptation. More scenes about Bruce (David Mazouz) and Selina (Camren Bicondova) will also be featured, which is always a sweet thing to watch.
“Gotham” Season 5 is already set to have some wonderful villains when it premieres, what with the father of Bane being among the rabble that the protagonists have to deal with. Now, it seems Magpie will be making an appearance on the show, Comicbook.com reports. This tidbit came from the actor who plays Oswald Cobblepot himself, Robin Lord Taylor.
When he was asked details about “Gotham” Season 5 during a fan event this weekend, the actor revealed that his character will be interacting with several villains. These include Bane himself, as well as Magpie.
"All I can say is I hope so, because every time we have a new villain, especially one like Bane, who is coming in, and we're also introducing Magpie this year, which is really exciting,” the actor explained.
“Gotham” Season 5 will also be giving fans even more scenes depicting the budding romance between Bruce and Selina. As Carter Matt notes, there have already been pictures circulated hinting at the possible scenes that will involve the two working together. The future crime fighter is going to need allies and the eventual cat burglar is one of his strongest bets.
If nothing else, Selina is the kind of character that would want to preserve Gotham for her own benefit. This is why “Gotham” Season 5 may see her doing a bit of crime fighting. Fans will have to wait until the show premieres on FOX early in 2019 to find out.
