“Goblin Slayer” season 2 is awaited after it came out a big hit last year. It was an unexpected result especially when this anime was called out for its violent content. It was hit for featuring controversial scenes like rape, murder, and other violent acts.
But then, “Goblin Slayer” season 2 is poised to return although there is no official announcement from White Fox Studio yet. Fans pointed out that season 1’s finale definitely showed that there is a continuation so they are not worried that the Japanese animation is going to be pulled out. They have also discussed the program’s return on Reddit and one even posted a screencap of what seems like a teaser.
Then again, there is some sort of confusion as Monsters and Critics reported that “Goblin Slayer” is coming back in a different form - a movie titled “Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown.” it was mentioned that the movie was announced in March this year and it may present one of the untold major story arcs that involved the Goblin Paladin.
In any case, it is possible that the producers are releasing both the movie and “Goblin Slayer” season 2 as there are lots of story arcs to tell based on the original manga series where the animation was based from. They only confirmed the movie as of this time and when the TV series is announced, it was predicted that its plot will revolve around the goal to bring back Demon King who was murdered in the first season.
“Goblin Slayer” season 2 may start its production this year and with that schedule, it is possible for the series to arrive in early 2020. The first installment just concluded in December 2018 and it appears that the movie version was prioritized first than the second season but nevertheless, it is still a good thing that a sequel is coming up after the debut episodes earned huge followers.
