“Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will be kickstarting a new arc and introduce new villains for the series. So far, only a faint hint of world-ending threat has been provided in the previous installment, with Female Hero and company lifting most of the load.

But, in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, Orcbolg will eventually come face to face with a villain named Dark Elf, who is an apostle of the gods of chaos. Dark Elf is the one responsible for the goblin threat that multiplied beneath Water Town. The apostle planned to use Sword Maiden’s fear of goblins to overthrow her out of her position and claim Water Town for himself, Monster and Critics reported.

Fortunately, Orcbolg and his party were there to stop the malicious attempt. In “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, Dark Elf will attack once again and will do so during the Harvest Festival arc. Everything starts off peaceful enough with Orcbolg going on a date with Cow Girl and Guild Girl.

But, the celebration quickly goes south when Dark Elf appears along with a host of goblin army. True to his nature, Orcbolg stands in the way of the threat with High Elf, Dwarf Shaman, and Lizard Priest providing assistance to the titular adventurer. Although this hasn’t been confirmed just yet, “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 may also take audiences to the frigid regions of the northern realm.

They did so when Orcbolg accepted a contract involving the kidnapping of a noblewoman. Through their journey in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, the squad uncovers an ancient dwarven fortress that’s been turned into a nest by hordes of goblin. What’s more, the monsters have developed their own cult and organized themselves in a way that Orcbolg has never seen.

The goblins have also appointed a Goblin Paladin as their leader. Orcbolg will be crossing blades with this villain multiple times in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 and will probably cap the second installment. As for when the series will return, White Fox hasn’t announced anything yet. However, it’s being speculated that it will return in late 2020 or early 2021 given the studio’s reputation.
