“Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 will showcase the part of the story where the group answers a request by the sword maiden to exterminate some goblins. However, instead of just being a generic quest, it would appear that this is much more personal for the legendary hero. She is actually a victim of rape by the monsters and was left with scars of the traumatic experience.
After the peaceful break that was episode 5, “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 will return viewers to the dark fantasy setting that is this anime. The protagonist and his team of adventurers will be going to Water City to meet with one of the heroes who vanquished the demon lord, OtakuKart reports. Known only as the sword maiden, this figure of legend will be the one to assign them the quest.
Far from being an ordinary mission, however, this quest will involve a more serious experience for the heroes. “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 basically be the start of a new arc that will lead to severe injury on the party and will remind viewers of how dark this series can be. On the other hand, it will also involve some hilarious shenanigans, fueled by Goblin Slayer’s stoic attitude.
By the end of the arc, viewers will learn that this is not just a regular goblin slaying quest for the sword maiden. It’s actually quite personal to her due to the fear and anxiety she feels being so close to the same kinds of monsters that raped and tortured her. Her trauma runs so deep, in fact, that the goblins are in her dreams. None of this will be featured in “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6, however, and will only be revealed later on.
“Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 is scheduled to air on Nov. 11. Fans can watch it at Crunchyroll or other official portals to support the show.
