ATLANTA, Oct. 03, 2017 -- Proficio, one of the fastest growing global cybersecurity service providers, today announced the opening of its new Atlanta office. Located in downtown Atlanta, the office serves as a company foothold in the city and brings Proficio’s world-class managed security services to the growing business population in the area.
Over the past year, there has been a marked increase in interest in cybersecurity in the metro Atlanta area, which is home to over a dozen Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 company headquarters. The decision to establish a presence not only serves current clients but also the many companies who have a need for around-the-clock security monitoring, detection and automated response services. Proficio’s Atlanta office on Peachtree Road opened officially in June and serves as a home base for a team of cybersecurity experts that have a combined 35 years’ experience in the field.
“This is an extremely exciting time not only for our company and employees, but also for the city,” said Tim McElwee, president of Proficio. “Many consider Atlanta to be the new cybersecurity hub of the southeastern United States. We see this office as a natural extension of our services and a great way to build relationships in the region.”
To ensure 24/7 around-the-clock monitoring and alerting for their clients, Proficio has three security operations centers located in Singapore, Barcelona, Spain and Carlsbad, CA which is also the company’s headquarters. An awarded and trusted MSSP for some of the world’s leading utility, healthcare, industrial and consumer-focused organizations, Proficio is well on its way to achieving its goal of having a global headcount of 450 employees by 2018.
In celebration of the office opening and in acknowledgement of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, Proficio is holding a happy hour after Atlanta’s Cybercon 2017 on the evening of Wednesday, October 4, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM ET at the Barrelhouse on 5th Street Northwest.
