Some bits and pieces of what fans can expect from “Game of Thrones” Season 8 Episode 1 have been hitting the online pavements, leading to the Gingerbread house that is the episode’s details. While outright spoiling the fans of the show with regards to what happens is not being done, there were some helpful hints dropped. Among them is the fact that the deaths will be done in the dark.
As BGR reports, there have been pieces written with regards to the “Game of Thrones” Season 8 Episode 1 premiere that can provide context as to what fans can expect. There will be no grand showing of battles and sword fights this time. The deaths that will occur will happen in the dark and in silence. As to who will deliver such deaths, one character comes to mind, in particular.
In her coverage of “Game of Thrones” Season 8 Episode 1, The Telegraph’s Jane Mulkerrins wrote in her piece that the episode also features a lighter tone than one would expect. This could be indicative of a storm to come that involves far less laughter.
“Unlike some season openers in years gone by, this eighth premiere contains no epic battles or large-scale set pieces, but what violence there is, is dark, brutal and unsettling,” the piece reads. “That’s balanced out, however, by a noticeably lighter, more humorous tone, with plenty of witty one-liners.”
There is also the matter of Daenerys and Sansa potentially meeting in “Game of Thrones” Season 8 Episode 1 under strained circumstances. This is only natural since, until recently, the dragon queen had been viewed as an outside invader. However, with the deadly army of White Walkers are barreling down southward, there is no longer any time to mess around. The April 14 global premiere will be epic.
