Data released so far:
- Australia: Consumer inflation expectation declined to 3.5 percent in January, compared to 4 percent in January. Investment lending for homes declined 4.5 percent in November, and home loans are down 0.9 percent.
- United Kingdom: RICS house price balance down 19 percent in December.
Upcoming:
- Italy: Trade balance report will be released at 9:00 GMT.
- Eurozone: CPI inflation report will be released at 10:00 GMT for the month of December, along with construction output.
- United States: Weekly jobless claims report will be released at 13:30 GMT, along with the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory report at 15:30 GMT. Fed’s Quarles is set for a speech at 15:45 GMT.
- New Zealand: December Business PMI report will be released at 21:30 GMT.
- Japan: Inflation statistics will be reported at 23:30 GMT.
- Auction: The U.S. will auction 1-month bills at 16:30 GMT.
