FxWirePro: GBP/USD eases as dollar firms ahead of U.S. June non-farm payrolls report

• GBP/USD dipped on Thursday  as pound came under  selling pressure as demand for the U.S. dollar strengthened ahead of non-farm payrolls report.

• Attention is firmly focused on the U.S. June non-farm payrolls report, which is expected to provide fresh clues on the Federal Reserve's policy outlook.

•A stronger-than-expected employment report could boost the U.S. dollar and weigh further on GBP/USD, while weaker labour market data may revive expectations of Fed easing and support a renewed move higher in the currency pair.

•S&P Global survey showed a milder downturn in UK construction in July, alongside the highest level of industry confidence since before the Iran war.

•S&P Global's UK Construction PMI increased to 44.7 in July from 38.4 in June, though it remained below the 50 mark indicating continued contraction.

•   Immediate resistance is located at 1.3498( 50%fib), any close above will push the pair towards 1.3579(Higher BB)

•  Strong support is seen at 1.3409(SMA 20) and break below could take the pair towards 1.3357(38.2%fib).

Recommendation: Good to sell around 1.3350 , with stop loss of 1.3430 and target price of 1.3300
