Fundamentals to watch out for this week

In terms of volatility risks, this week is relatively heavy compared to the last one.

What to watch for over the coming days:

  • Central Banks:

U.S. Federal Reserve will announce interest rate decision on Wednesday. Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) will announce interest rate decision on Wednesday. Bank of England (BoE) will announce interest rate decision on Thursday.

  • Economic data:

UK inflation data on Tuesday and unemployment data on Wednesday. Australia’s unemployment report on Thursday.

Geopolitical events:

The two-day European Council summit begins on Thursday, with the main topics of discussion expected to be trade and Brexit. The two-day G20 meetings will begin in Argentina on Monday. Japanese inflation numbers on Thursday and Canada’s inflation numbers on Friday.

Along with the above fundamentals, unscheduled Brexit commentaries, happenings in the Middle East, Spain’s Catalonia, and Korean peninsula are likely to keep influencing the market.
