“Fuller House” season 5 was finally renewed but there is bad news, it will be the last. On Thursday, Jan. 31, Netflix announced the final run by releasing a trailer that opened with the caption that reads, “It has been an amazing few years of family, laughter, love,” and this was followed by the announcement that says: The farewell season of “Fuller House” is coming!
While fans were elated for the renewal, the message about the finale was a bit shocking because no one expected it. The last words in the trailer also made many fans emotional because after showing clips about the Tanner family, the cast said in unison, "We've saved the best for last."
Prior to “Fuller House” season 5 renewal Candace Cameron-Bure vehemently denied that their show is ending in the fourth sequel. She said that she has no idea where the rumors came from but she is very confident that Netflix will keep their show going.
"I don't know why or how that rumor got started," she told E! News. "I think it was a slow news day and someone wanted to make more of it than it is."
Candace Cameron-Bure confidently added, "I have no doubt that we're going to be back for Season 5."
Moreover, “Fuller House” has plenty of steady followers and it has been consistently recording high audience ratings that is why the cancellation after “Fuller House” season 5 came as a big surprise. Also, because many people love the show, they are calling on Netflix to reconsider its decision and take back its announcement regarding the series finale.
The #SaveFullerHouse trended on Twitter and comments on the trailer was filled with requests to keep producing “Fuller House.” One commenter said: “Change your mind Netflix” while another one said, “This is a bad idea, bring back the show.”
The trailer did not state when “Fuller House” season 5 is coming but it is most likely to arrive in the last quarter of 2019.
