The cast of “Fuller House” season 5 was called back to work recently for the first episode’s table read. While some of them tried to avoid any kind of spoilers, others were more generous in giving away important details such as the title of episode 1.
“Fuller House” season 5 episode 1 title is already a major clue that it will focus on Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Jimmy’s (Adam Hagenbuch) first baby. Fans can check on Sweetin’s Instagram page to find a selfie of the actress where she holds her copy of the episode 1 script. The photo confirms it is titled “Welcome Home, Baby To Be Named Later.”
It is then possible that by the end of “Fuller House” season 5 episode 1, Stephanie and Jimmy would end up deciding on what to name their daughter. But it is interesting to see what factors will the couple consider before making their final decision.
With Stephanie and Jimmy, it could be anything. But since “Fuller House” season 5 is also the show’s final stint, the comedic events that will complete the baby naming milestone will likely lead to a very meaningful choice.
Meanwhile, the episode 1 title also suggests that “Fuller House” season 5 will pick up shortly from where the season 4 finale concluded. Since the title refers to welcoming the baby home, it means the season 5 will open not too long after Kimmy (Andrea Barber), Stephanie and Jimmy’s surrogate, gave birth.
Considering that Stephanie’s baby is part of previous major moments in the show such as Kimmy agreeing to be her friend’s surrogate and Jimmy’s wedding proposal, the baby’s name should be very special. Fans can also not rule out the possibility that it could be the show’s chance to make a reference to the women who are unlikely coming back to “Fuller House” season 5 — Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) and Becky (Lori Loughlin).
“Fuller House” season 5 is expected to have 18 episodes. With production already starting this month, it will most likely make it in time for its promised fall 2019 release date.
