“Fuller House” Season 5 has yet to be announced by Netflix and fans are fearing that the fourth installment might be the last for the family-oriented comedy series. The streaming juggernaut would usually announce a renewal two weeks after a season has been released.
The previous season dropped on December 14. Now, more than a month later, there’s still no word whether Netflix is ordering “Fuller House” Season 5. There’s also the rumor floating around that the fourth installment’s finale was apparently written differently, WhatsOnNetflix reported.
While others were speculating that the alteration was due to the cancelation of “Fuller House” Season 5, show writer Bryan Behar clarify the situation via Twitter. “All I can say is... there was a scene that was cut. But it has nothing to do with [‘Fuller House’ Season 5.] We shot it, but everyone involved thought it didn’t feel like Fuller House. That’s the extent of the mystery. It wasn’t cut for any other reason,” Behar explained. If Netflix decides to ax “Fuller House” Season 5, then the latest finale ended on a satisfying note.
Jimmy (Adam Hagenbuch) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) have now become parents as Kimmy (Andrea Barber) gave birth to their first child. What’s more, Jimmy’s relationship with Stephanie has been taken on a different level as the two are now engaged. While Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything, “Fuller House” Season 5 could potentially cap the installment with the two getting married, Screenrant reported.
There’s also the relationship of DJ (Candace Cameron-Bure) and Steve (Scott Weinger) that should be considered. Behar and the rest of the writing staff could also provide a satisfying ending for the couple’s storyline by having them walk down the aisle. Of course, all of these are banking on the possibility of “Fuller House” Season 5 being greenlighted by Netflix.
If they do, then the next question is when will “Fuller House” Season 5 air? Netflix would usually release the sitcom on the month of December similar to what they did in season one, three (second part), and four. So if they do decide to order another season for the series, then the most likely month will be December.
