“Fruits Basket 2019” episode 13 will be introducing another member of the Sohma clan. This time, it is going to be Yuki’s older brother, Ayame. Of course, visiting Sohma relatives do not arrive for no reason.
The title of “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 13 “How Have You Been, My Brother?” already gives a huge hint that Ayame is visiting Shigure’s house because he wants to check on Yuki. However, their relationship is quite complicated for several reasons that the next anime installment will discuss.
First off, Ayame will likely have an interesting entrance in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 13. He is cursed with the snake zodiac sign, so he naturally does not like the cold weather. In the manga, this part of the plot is set sometime in April, so the temperature is still a little bit low. To find heat, Ayame wraps his snake form around Tohru’s body — one great way to annoy Yuki.
Ayame continues to show a smug attitude, even ordering Tohru to get him a drink or cook for him, much to Yuki’s anger. So Ayame grabs Tohru and brings her to a restaurant to get lunch. If the same scenario is preserved in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 13, this is going to be the moment when Ayame gives Tohru more idea about his relationship with Yuki.
There is a 10-year age gap between Ayame and his younger brother, and because of Yuki’s sickness, they did not get to spend much time together. But Ayame is concerned upon learning that Akito — who has been psychologically torturing Yuki — arrived at their school recently. This then confirms that Ayame’s reason for arriving in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 13 is to make sure that Yuki is doing fine.
By doing so, he is hoping that he could make up for the times he acted childish towards Yuki. However, Ayame is relieved that Yuki found a good friend in Tohru and that his brother seems happy despite Akito’s recent visit. “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 13 will air on Saturday, June 29.
