“Frozen 2” is coming in a few weeks, and many spoilers and details have already been posted at this point. There are also trailers and new posters released by Disney, which give the fans some glimpses of what they will see in the upcoming movie sequel.
The first film came out in 2013, and it was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale titled “Snow Queen.” It was a huge hit worldwide, so a sequel has been confirmed. However, it took years for Disney to produce “Frozen 2.”
The theme for the follow-up movie
“Frozen” is a light drama animation film, but the sequel will present a darker theme as Elsa appears to be battling some unknown forces. The Queen of Arendelle also looks fiercer and very determined as it was revealed that she is on a mission to uncover some truths with regards to her life.
In the full trailer for “Frozen 2,” Elsa, Anna, and their friends were shown embarking on a journey to a place that they don’t know about. They have no idea what is waiting for them there, but they still proceeded with the dangerous trip. It became clear that they set out to look for answers with regards to Elsa’s magical powers as well as to save Arendelle.
Moreover, the “Frozen 2” preview also showed Elsa using her powers to freeze the sea waves and trying desperately to cross the waters by running through the ice but failed a number of times. In another scene, when the ice broke, she plunged deep into the water, and she met a magical unicorn.
The new promo posters from Disney
In any case, new posters featuring the “Frozen 2” main characters were shared last week via social media. One image shows Elsa (Idina Menzel), while the rest features Olaf (Josh Gad), Anna (Kristen Bell) with Olaf, and Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) with Sven.
Their posters showed them in new surroundings since these were the scenes taken from their travel to a mysterious land outside the kingdom of Arendelle. Thye met Honeymaren (Rachel Matthews), someone who wants to bring peace to the enchanted forest and lieutenant Destin Mattias (Sterling K. Brown), Arendelle’s long-lost protector and was revealed to have been trapped in the forest that is hard to get into.
“Frozen 2” is set to premiere on Nov. 22.
