“Frozen 2” is no doubt the most awaited animated film this year. Fans have been waiting for this sequel for six years, and finally, it’s just weeks away before it arrives.
The original movie was released in 2013, and it was a certified blockbuster. Theaters around the world were filled with excited moviegoers as good feedback was posted by people who have seen the movie first. As reported, “Frozen” earned a massive $1.2 billion worldwide and it was listed as the highest-grossing and most-awarded film in that year.
The movie’s soundtrack titled “Let It Go” by Idina Menzel was a hit too, and it was one of the best-selling tracks on Spotify and other online and offline music stores. The track was also sung by children and adults, and it became a favorite with people singing it over and over again.
What the trailers and posters revealed
In the latest trailer for “Frozen 2,” there were big hints as to what the moviegoers will see in the sequel. One thing is sure, it will be darker compared to the first movie as Elsa will be battling with some unknown forces.
It was also revealed that Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and Kristoff would be traveling to some place they have never been to before. It is an unknown territory, but they were forced to go there as Elsa keeps hearing voices, and they were urging her to “find the truth.”
Now they found a place being protected by a thick mist, and with Elsa’s power, they were able to enter a new world. But it will not be easy for them because they have met some people who they don’t know yet if they’re enemies or friends. In any case, newly-released posters of “Frozen 2” also provide glimpses of the group’s travel and what they encountered along the way.
What to expect in the movie
In the official description from Disney, “Frozen 2” will delve into the secret of Elsa’s powers. The truth about her past will be revealed as she, her sister, and their friends explore the enchanted forest.
“Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle?” the description reads. “The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, she'll face a dangerous but remarkable journey.”
Finally, as announced by Disney via Twitter, “Frozen 2” is coming to cinemas on Nov. 22. Watch the preview below.
