“Frozen 2” is coming soon, and fans are getting more excited as more details about the movie sequel are shared. But probably, the biggest info and spoiler came from none other than the actress who plays Elsa in the popular Disney animation.
In her most recent interview, Idina Menzel discussed about “Frozen 2” and dropped hints on some changes that may or may not surprise the moviegoers. She shared that the much-awaited follow-up movie will be different from “Frozen 2” and it is something unexpected because rather than the expected story that is like a fairytale, the viewers will see a superhero-like film instead.
“It is a real girl power, badass kind of superhero type of movie. They are really strong, the two sisters (Elsa and Anna), and it is exciting,” Menzel told The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress also explained that “Frozen 2” can also be seen as very relevant today because it will present a story about women who will fight for themselves. “It resonates, even more, today considering that it is a story that is about women finding what makes them extremely powerful and beautiful in their life,” she stated. “It is about not compromising who you are. It's about taking that thing that makes you so powerful and harnessing it and using it to change the world for the better.”
Moreover, aside from Idina Menzel’s hint on the story that the viewers will see in “Frozen 2,” Disney also posted the trailer, and everyone will notice how Elsa and Anna seem to have changed. The aura that they exude now is quite different, and perhaps, this is because they have become older and have more responsibilities and missions to fulfill.
Elsa’s aura appears to have become darker, but it somehow suggests that her character is braver and more confident than ever. Now, how the superhero-like story will unfold is still a mystery, but there are theories that the sisters will have to band together to fight a strong villain or some kind of dark force as they embark on a journey for a still unknown mission. Meanwhile, “Frozen 2” is coming to cinemas on Nov. 22.
