‘Frozen 2’ Release Date: Movie Sequel Already in Test Screening Stage; New Cast Additions and Other Details to Know

Frozen

The production of “Frozen 2” is going smoothly and it was recently revealed that it had entered the test screening stage already. This means that the movie is complete and now being reviewed to make sure that it is all set for release in cinemas.

Based on screenwriter Jennifer Lee’s post on Twitter, the screening of “Frozen 2” took place on May 9. According to Comic Book, Lee has been promoted and now serving as Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer so fans can trust her words.

Chris Buck will return as “Frozen 2” director, and the whole cast will be back with him as well. In other words, Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf) will give life to their characters once again. They will be joined by two new cast members, and they are Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K Brown, as per Variety.

Then again, their exact roles are still being kept a secret. This actually heightened the anticipation for “Frozen 2” release because people would like to know if there will be new villains or the new cast additions could be related to Elsa and Anna.

"Frozen 2" will show the different sides of the main characters, especially Elsa. In the trailer, her darker side seems to surface, and this could have been triggered by her determination to find the truth about her ancestors. Anna will also have an important role, and it is possible that she will discover her own power as well.

“Frozen 2” will be released on Nov. 22 in the U.S. and U.K. The world premiere date is not yet available. Fans can also watch out for new songs in the vein of “Let It Go” that became a favorite anthem worldwide when the first movie was released.
