“Fortnite” Season 6 has finally here, and it is bringing with it a new theme called Darkness Rises just in time for the Halloween season.
Players will get to explore new locations like the ominously named wailing woods and a haunted castle after these areas were corrupted by the mysterious purple cube introduced in season 5. Shadow Stones are now all over the map for players to pick up in “Fortnite” Season 6 due to the corruption caused by the cube.
By grabbing the Shadow Stones, players enter a mode called “Shadow Form” which can give them the ability to phase through objects and become invisible. The one caveat is that “Fortnite” Season 6 players won’t be able to use their weapons or other items if they want to remain invisible because they have to remain stationary.
As of the moment, Epic Games had to disable the new items from the game temporarily. The developers didn’t exactly elaborate on the issue with the Shadow Stones, but it appears players have noticed that they can remain permanently invisible and retain the ability to use their abilities. So for now, “Fortnite” Season 6 players will have to make do without these items until Epic Games finds a way to fix the glitch. Otherwise, everyone won’t be on a level playing field.
As expected, a new Battle Pass is added in “Fortnite” Season 6 with fresh skins and over 100 new rewards. Pets will also be introduced, and players can carry them around while they explore the map. Right now, there are three pets available: a dog named Bonsey, a dragon called Scales, and a chameleon named Camo. Pets can be customized as well.
The “Fortnite” Season 6 Battle Pass is available for 950 V-Bucks, and players will get two exclusive in-game outfits – Calamity and DJ Yonder – with their purchase.
