POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Jan. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With more than 25,000 uninsured children and adults in Dutchess County, Fidelis Care remains focused on keeping a strong community presence in the Hudson Valley as the health plan celebrates eight years of serving local residents from its Poughkeepsie office.
Located at 25 Market Street, the office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and has served thousands of individuals and families since 2007. The Fidelis Care Health Benefit Representatives who are based there have an in-depth knowledge of health insurance options, can help local residents choose the coverage that's right for them, and provide assistance with enrollment through NY State of Health: The Official Health Plan Marketplace. During 2015, the office served approximately 1,500 local residents.
With the open enrollment deadline for NY State of Health metal-level products set for January 31, 2016, now's the time for local residents to learn more about their coverage options.
"We are dedicated to serving the Hudson Valley community," said Scott Averill, Vice President, Marketing. "Our commitment has always been grassroots, and we feel that our presence in the community sends a message that we are here to stay. We are your friends and neighbors, and we care about your health – not just during open enrollment, but also throughout the year."
Current and potential members can benefit from community-based resources at the Poughkeepsie office, including assistance with premium payment, benefits, and renewing coverage. Fidelis Care Representatives also participate in a number of community outreach events throughout Dutchess County to ensure their information and assistance is as accessible as possible.
