‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers: Bad Decisions to Kill Show? Alicia Loses Leadership Spot?

To say that “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 4 was something of a train wreck would be a major understatement. Not only did that particular run of the series skip way too many developments, but the deaths of two major characters was also simply too much for many fans. As such, there is a real and undeniable danger to “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 5 being bad enough to kill the show. Among the reasons for this could be Alice (Alycia Debnam-Carey) losing her leadership role.

As Forbes reports, “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 5 will be premiering in just a couple of months, but this is not really that reassuring when considering how messed up the fourth season was. The deaths of Madison (Kim Dickens) and Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) dealt the show a heavy blow. To make matters worse, one of those developments was due to bad decisions by showrunners.

Suffice it to say, there is a real concern among fans that “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 5 will suffer from the same issues that plagued the fourth season. If this happens, the spin-off series might just get axed like one of its Walkers. Among the biggest possible issues to come up would be Alice getting replaced as a leader. She and Morgan Jones (Lennie James) are currently the beacons of hope for humanity, but this might not be the case for long.

The synopsis for “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 5 provides plenty of context as to what fans can expect when it premieres on June 2. As always, there will be plenty of drama and horror to consume.

“The group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope,” the synopsis reads.

“Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.”
