Fans of Hiro Mashima's “Fairy Tail” have a lot to be excited about considering that the anime's current season will be the series's last, with more than 200 episodes under its belt. The excitement definitely does not wane considering that the animation is currently covering the “Avatar” story arc, with “Fairy Tail” episode 281 being the next story stage for the series.
The show's previous episode recently introduced a sick Juvia, who has been left by Gray Fullbuster in a deserted village. It seems Gray has joined up with the Avatars – a cult worshipping Zeref and his Black Arts. Of course, this would be problematic for Natsu and Lucy in “Fairy Tail” episode 281 because they were planning to get the gang back together to stop the Avatars themselves from bringing back the glory of Zeref after the Balam Alliance's collapse.
Based on Juvia's description of Gray's state before he left her, Natsu believes Fullbuster may have been corrupted by the sinister organization's magic rather than submitting himself willingly. Natsu promises Juvia that he will bring back Fullbuster to his senses in “Fairy Tail” episode 281 so that the both of them can be a family again.
According to OtakuKart, fans can expect a huge battle between Gray and Natsu in “Fairy Tail” episode 281. Natsu will most likely try his best to gain his friend back by dispelling the dark magic that has seemingly possessed Gray. No details have yet been shared if Natsu will be successful during his attempt in the upcoming episode. There is still a chance that Gray's part in the battle against the Avatar cult becomes significantly more antagonistic
Fans looking forward to seeing how Natsu and Gray will be reunited can catch “Fairy Tail” episode 281 when it airs on Oct. 28 during its usual Sunday broadcast schedule. Fans can also stream the upcoming episode on Crunchyroll.
