With Wendy and Carla back in the fold after the battle with Orochi's Fin, the group heads to Amefurashi Village in their search for Juvia. The town happens to be the perfect place to search for someone like Juvia since it never stops raining, and it didn’t take them long to find the water mage when they got there in “Fairy Tail” Episode 280.
Unfortunately, Juvia is not well and she tells Natsu and the rest that Gray used to live in the house with her, but he left half a year ago after the Ice Devil Slayer Magic tattoo on his right arm started acting up. Juvia has been looking for him since to no avail, so Natsu promised to bring him back.
In “Fairy Tail” Episode 280, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy will head to the Kingdom of Fiore to visit the Sabertooth guild. Viewers may remember that in his fight with Rogue’s future counterpart Natsu found out that Frosch will be killed by Gray Fullbuster around this time, causing Rogue to succumb to the shadows. Right now, Natsu is trying to prevent that from happening so he managed to find Rogue and Frosch and convinced them to stay at the guild while he completes their job for them.
Interestingly, the job is to destroy an organization that worships Zeref called Avatar, and unbeknownst to them, Gray is now a member of this cult. Natsu will explain to Lucy and Happy about his motives for taking the job, and while they head to the organization’s hideout in the Mikage Forest, the Magic Council Custody Enforcement Unit led by Gajeel appears to be heading there as well.
Meanwhile, Gray's reason for joining Avatar will be explained as he tells the cultist that his goal is to get his hands on the Book of E.N.D. “Fairy Tail” Episode 280 is scheduled to air on Oct. 21 and it will be available on all Anime Streaming sites after its debut in Japan.
