The third and final “Fairy Tail” series finally aired this past weekend, and after a relatively uneventful episode, things will start to pick up in Fairy Tail “Episode 279” as Orochi's Fin launches an assault against Lamia Scale while the guild members celebrate Thanksgiving Day in Margaret Town.
Orochi's Fin has already made their move in the previous episode because they thought Lamia Scale was vulnerable at the moment, but they didn’t realize that Natsu, Lucy, and Happy were there to talk Wendy and Carla into rejoining the Fairy Tail guild.
Readers of the source manga already know that the former Deputy Commander of Grimoire Heart, Bluenote Stinger, joined Orochi's Fin during the time skip and he will take on Natsu during the battle. He is shown briefly in the Fairy Tail “Episode 279” preview.
Well, Natsu wasn’t that strong the last time they met during the Tenrou Island arc, but he took out Bluenote easily this time. With their strongest member out of the picture, the Orochi Head and the rest of Orochi's Fin surrendered, ending the battle rather quickly.
Fairy Tail “Episode 279” will also show the aftermath of the battle as Sherria tells Wendy to go ahead and join Natsu, Lucy, and Happy as they try to rebuild the Fairy Tail guild. Wendy finds it hard to leave Sherria due to their bond, but she understands that she had to do it. The two promise to remain, friends, even though they are in different guilds.
After talking it over, Natsu’s group decided to head to Amefurashi Village as they continue to look for former members of the Fairy Tail guild. Interestingly, Amefurashi happens to be a village that never stops raining. That sounds like the perfect place to stay for a person like Juvia Lockser.
Fairy Tail “Episode 279” is scheduled to air on Oct. 14.
