Like most of the shows on TV, “FBI” is going to take a break during the week of the 2018 midterm elections, but the procedural drama series is set to return on Nov. 13. At the moment, not much is known about the plot of “FBI” Episode 7 since CBS has not yet shared the synopsis of the episode.
In any case, viewers can expect to see some changes in the show starting with “FBI” Episode 7 because Rick Eid and Derek Haas are now running things after Greg Plageman left earlier this month. Incidentally, Plageman is not even the series’ original showrunner. “FBI” started out with co-creator Craig Turk as showrunner, but he left due to creative differences and Plageman replaced him in July.
“Per an insider with knowledge of the situation, Plageman was brought in to ‘right the ship’ following Turk’s departure. The network, producers and studio are all said to be happy with the direction of the show and its ratings. Now that the series is said to be back on track, Plageman is returning to his own projects under his overall deal with Universal,” Tim Baysinger said in his piece for The Wrap. “Eid and Haas will executive produce alongside Wolf, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski,” he added.
Aside from “FBI,” Eid and Haas are also working as showrunners on “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Fire” respectively, so they are going to be very busy in the next few months. Both of those shows are airing on NBC and they are created by Dick Wolf as well.
Fans also don’t have to worry about the future of “FBI” because the show has already been picked up for a full season. Meanwhile, CBS will likely share the synopsis of “FBI” Episode 7 in the coming days. For now, viewers will have to be patient.
