The Pectra upgrade, activated on May 7, 2025, has notably boosted Ethereum staking and ETFs by increasing the maximum validator balance from 32 to 2,048 ETH, allowing large holders and institutions to consolidate staking for efficiency and compounding rewards. This enhancement improves staking efficiency for ETF issuers, potentially increases yields for ETF holders, and strengthens Ethereum's competitiveness, leading to a surge in ETH prices and ETF values, thereby making Ethereum a more attractive and manageable yield-generating asset for institutional investors.
ETHUSD showed a minor sell-off after hitting a high of $2637. It hits an intraday low of $2530 and is currently trading around $2553.
Overall trend remains bullish as long as support $2000 remains intact. Watch out for $2650, any break above targets $2681/$2720/$2770/$2880/$3000/$3400/$3600/$3800/$4000. A robust bullish trend will only materialize above $4100.
Immediate support is around $2500. Any violation below will drag the price down to $2435/$2374/$2000/$1750/$1675/$1620/$1500/$1200/$1000. A breach below $1000 could see Ethereum plummet to $800/$500.
It is good to buy on dips around $2500 with SL around $2300 for a TP of $3000/$4000.
