Ethereum Under Pressure: ETF Outflows, Upgrade Delays, and Key Technical Levels

ETF Exodus: Ethereum Faces Investor Skepticism

Ethereum ETFs have experienced significant outflows during the recent period, including $36 million being a net outflow on March 6 and $23.1 million on March 7, led primarily by Fidelity's FETH and BlackRock's ETHA. From March 3 through March 7, total net outflows came to $120 million, striking ETHA and Grayscale's ETHE, which indicates conservative or bearish investor sentiment perhaps driven by market uncertainty, fund-related problems, overall market conditions, or regulatory uncertainty; such outflows can have the ability to press Ethereum's price downward

Pectra Upgrade Stalls: Technical Challenges Delay Ethereum's Evolution

The Ethereum Pectra upgrade, initially scheduled for March 2025, has been postponed due to issues encountered during testing on the Sepolia and Holesky testnets, including mining of zero-content blocks, exploitable vulnerabilities, and finalization, correlation penalty, and validator balance drain issues. Developers are establishing a new temporary test network to keep on experimenting to resolve these bugs and postpone the mainnet launch until sufficient testing is carried out. The Pectra upgrade aims to enhance scalability, usability, and staking efficiency via features like increased validator stake limits and programmable wallets and incorporates over 20 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) to further bolster the execution and consensus layers of Ethereum.

Technical Analysis: Resistance and Support Levels for Ethereum

ETHUSD trades weak following the footsteps of BTC. Overall trend remains bearish as long as the resistance $3000 remains intact. The key near-term resistance is at $2300 any breach above targets is $2500/$2770/$3000/$3400/$3600/$3800/$4000. A robust bullish trend will only materialize above $4100.

Immediate support is around $2000. Any violation below will drag the price down to $1800. A breach below $1800 could see Ethereum plummet to $1450.

It is good to buy on dips around $2000 with a stop loss of around $1800 for a TP of $2770.
