AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 18, 2016 -- Kaylee McMahan, DVM, is the newest veterinarian to join the staff of the Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin. Dr. McMahan graduated from the University of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine after receiving her BS in Animal Science. She has recently become part of the EAHNWA’s growing team to allow the emergency animal hospital to better serve Austin area pets and their owners. The veterinary team is excited about the addition and welcomes her expertise and passion within the area of emergency medicine.
Before graduating from vet school, Dr. McMahan worked at a local veterinary emergency hospital in Florida where she discovered her interest in emergency and critical care. She continued her education, graduating with a DVM from the University of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She recently moved to Austin to join the team at Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin.
Dr. McMahan stays busy in her free time with hobbies that include hiking, spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains, attending live music events, water sports and traveling. In addition to serving emergency animal needs at Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin, she cares for her rescue dog named Sable and participates in volunteer veterinary trips.
“I am excited to start this new direction in my veterinary career by serving pets and owners in and around the Austin area,” said Dr. McMahan. “As a pet owner, I know how important it is to provide sick and injured pets the quality veterinary services they need. I look forward to offering effective and compassionate urgent care at the Emergency Animal Hospital.”
Scott Johnson, DVM, DACVECC, and his team of veterinarians at Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin, serve the residents of Cedar Park, Round Rock, Leander, Pflugerville and Austin TX.
