No matter how much happy Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi seem, divorce rumors always follow them. Recently, the couple reportedly went on a trip abroad for a heartbreaking reason. They allegedly need time away from work or else they could be heading to a divorce.
Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi avoids divorce with a European trip?
Ellen and Portia reportedly traveled to Amsterdam this summer. While couple getaways are often sources of happy memories, tabloids find another reason why Ellen and Portia went on the said trip.
Tabloid Star claimed that Ellen and Portia made plans to spend a vacation in the European city to save their marriage. Phrases like “rekindle the flame” was used in the report making it seem like there was a heartbreaking cause that led to the trip.
The same source added that they intentionally chose to live at such a time so they could do it before Ellen gets busy again for the 17th season of her talk show on NBC. Star also reported the Amsterdam vacation was necessary because back home the couple was finding it difficult to balance their careers with their personal and married life.
While it is true that the trip happened and that Ellen would be busy again because her show will return with new episodes on Friday, Sept. 6, the rumored reason behind it seems questionable. What’s more, is that Ellen and Portia decided to go to Amsterdam shortly after they celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary.
Gossip Cop also reached out to its connection close to Ellen and Portia who ultimately dismissed claims they are having marital issues. The same source said it was not strange for the couple to go on trips because it is one of their favorite things to do.
Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi tackle divorce rumors
Ellen and Portia are some of the most beloved couples in Hollywood, and maybe that is also the reason why tabloids would not stop running stories they are getting divorced.
