“Dragon Ball FighterZ” will be introducing its last character for the title’s latest DLC content. The character in question has been revealed – albeit accidentally – as Janemba.
Janemba is expected to join the roster on June 12 since that date will kick off this year’s E3 conference. There’s still no confirmation how this horned villain will translate in “Dragon Ball FighterZ,” although there are multiple clues that can be gleaned based on how he was portrayed in films and other fighting games.
To put briefly, Janemba will likely be taking point or anchor position since his abilities fit those spots perfectly. He can easily dish out a tremendous amount of pain and can provide headaches for the opposition early without needing meters. For the sake of discussion, let’s assume that Janemba will become a point character in “Dragon Ball FighterZ.”
As such, we’ll be needing an anchor and support to cover the holes that Janemba might have. Okay, so Janemba’s sword attacks, cube warp teleportation, and cloning abilities will likely be among the skills of the character in “Dragon Ball FighterZ.” All of these are close range attacks. Obviously, he’s going to be needing a neutral to intensify this pressure, someone that can provide firepower from the backlines. Tien might be our guy here since he fits that description nicely.
As an anchor, we want someone that can wipe out the entire team in the event that Janemba dies. Since we have Tien already, Gotenks is a good choice here since he can also help Janemba in neutral if the horned villain is active. Furthermore, a Gotenks with Tien acting as support is still a pretty powerful duo to go up against on account of double supers a near-constant threat. Having said all of these, it’s important to remember that this is merely speculation at this point and Janemba might become an anchor in “Dragon Ball FighterZ.”
After all, he’s been portrayed as someone that can go toe to toe with powerful individuals, case in point when he stood his ground – although briefly – against Gogeta. Whatever the case, the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” Pass 2 will be wrapping up soon, and it would be interesting to see how all these new additions will shake up the current meta.
