NEW YORK, Sept. 08, 2017 -- With her expertise in Emergency Medicine and Simulation, Dr. Tabitha Campbell, Simulation Director of The University of South Florida & Team Health, is being recognized for her 7 years within the healthcare industry by the American Health Council.
Dr. Campbell graduated with her MD from The University of South Florida College of Medicine in 2007, becoming involved in her present profession as she enjoyed the variety of procedures available in the field of Emergency Medicine.
At The University of South Florida & Team Health, Dr. Campbell engages in daily responsibilities, including the oversight of the simulation lab for the Residency Program in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Campbell also trains incoming interns. She plans on relocating to Tennessee while still remaining involved in resident education. In addition to resident education, she additionally plans to offer Just in Time Training and recertification to practicing physicians via mobile simulation program(s).
Professional awards and accomplishments garnered by Dr. Campbell include being Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP), as well as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). She is also honored to be on the Health Grade Honor Roll, and a member of The Florida College of Emergency Physicians, The Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine. Dr. Campbell also partakes in organizations for American veterans.
Dr. Campbell’s professional goals within the next 5 years include remaining within the field of Health Education, to begin a mobile simulation program in the state of Tennessee, and to become involved with the TN chapter of the ACEP Education Committee.
In her spare time, Dr. Campbell enjoys the outdoors and hiking.
