The year is over in a couple of days, but companies attached to the anime adaptation of “Domestic Girlfriend” are still silent on the status of season 2. This has left fans wondering – and debating sometimes – whether “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2 is ever going to happen.
‘Domestic Girlfriend’ season 2: Is there a chance for the anime’s return?
Since the first season concluded last March and up to the recent weeks, fans will find various online discussions where the topic is the possibility of seeing “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2. Interestingly, even those who have been long-time fans of the manga series are divided on whether or not the anime adaptation should continue.

If “Domestic Girlfriend” season 2 ever gets commissioned, its premiere will most likely include a flash-forward sequence into Natsuo’s future as a married man. In the manga, Natsuo finally became a best-selling novelist and already had a child. But the identity of his future wife has yet to be revealed even in the manga series.
