A photo taken by Android Central is claiming that Motorola actually teased its upcoming Moto Z smartphone at the 2017 Mobile World Congress last month. Technobuffalo said the Lenovo-owned company previewed the handset while showing the new Moto Mods.
Slashgear recounts, “At first glance, the photo above might hint at the Moto G5, since it has a more elongated home button and fingerprint scanner than the square one on the current Moto Z. The Moto G5, however, isn’t compatible at all with Moto Mods. We can only presume that, at least for this year, Motorola will be adopting that design change even for the Moto Z line. Considering it can’t really change much else externally due to compatibility with Moto Mods, we can let it get away with the slight change.”
Earlier, a Sprint release detailed the specs for the mobile phone, which comes in a “Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 mobile platform with an integrated Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, supporting Gigabit Class LTE.” Moreover, Sprint is also saying that it is using its extensive high-band spectrum, at last, for what could be the fastest live network performance in the US. NDTV said Moto Z is also touted to be the thinnest premium handset in the whole wide world at only 5.2 mm thick. Moto Z is also expected to come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and laser autofocus, and a wide-angle lens 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a front flash.
