Fans can’t wait for the arrival of the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 202 especially after the shocking plot twist introduced in the latest manga chapter. Just as everyone started to relax after defeating their powerful enemy, Muzan outsmarted them all by turning one of their most powerful fighters into a demon.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 201 recap

Muzan finally conceded defeat in the most recent “Demon Slayer” manga chapter. He recalled that the shadow of death has always been close to him. His heart stopped beating a number of times while still in his mother’s womb.

He was also stillborn. As he had no pulse and was not breathing, his tiny body was about to be cremated. It was at that point that he managed to cry and was saved.

Having lived for hundreds of years, he was able to accomplish most of his goals save for the most important one – which is to become immune to sunlight. Knowing he is about to be disintegrated by the sunlight, he remembered what Ubuyashiki said to him.

“Ubuyashiki, I admit that what you said is true,” Muzan said to himself. “All that lives must die. Only feelings are eternal and undying… My feelings are also undying and eternal, I will entrust all of my feelings to this child (Tanjiro).”

Muzan also noted that Tanjiro is on the brink of death. “His breath and heart have stopped but not all of his cells have died so he is still alive,” the demon observed. “There is still time.”

Muzan poured all of his blood and power into Tanjiro’s body. “You will conquer sunlight and become the strongest demon – the King of Demons,” Muzan said. “In my place, you must destroy the demon slayers.”

At that point, Tanjiro suddenly opened his eyes. His injury in his face quickly healed and his right eye was restored. He even grew a new limb.

Seeing the changes happening to Tanjiro alarmed the demon slayers. It could only mean one thing, Tanjiro is turning into a demon.

Unfortunately, Tanjiro no longer recognized any of his friends. He attacked as he pleased and did not stop even when his friend told him to stop.

Inosuke volunteered to be the person to kill Tanjiro. “No matter how hard or painful it is, we walk the right path,” he said. “I’ll strike him down and stop him.

And the two friends fought against each other. At one point, Inosuke had the upper hand and was about to slice off Tanjiro’s neck. However, he remembered the good things Tanjiro did for him and can no longer bring himself to slay his friend.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 202

The upcoming “Demon Slayer” 202 is expected to continue where the previous chapter left off. Thus, the fight between Inosuke and Tanjiro will continue in the upcoming manga installment.

Unfortunately, one of them is likely to get hurt. In the previous chapter, it was Inosuke who hesitated in cutting off Tanjiro’s head. However, Tanjiro won’t likely show the same hesitation when he gets the upper hand.

In fact, the previous chapter already shows Tanjiro thrusting his clawed hand toward Inosuke. Unless the latter successfully blocks the attack, he will be injured in “Demon Slayer” chapter 202.

Perhaps one of the most important questions that might be answered in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 2020 is whether Tanjiro will be able to break Muzan’s hold on him and come to his senses. Will seeing Nezuko sober up Tanjiro?

“Demon Slayer” chapter 202 release date is scheduled on April 13, 2020, on MangaPlus.
