‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 198: Hashiras unite to fight against Muzan

Muzan is bound to become more desperate in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198. Despite his numerous attempts at escaping, something always comes up preventing him from doing so, which will likely to continue in the upcoming installment of the hit manga series.

Hashiras unite to delay Muzan

In “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198, Muzan will still be unlikely able to escape. This time, the Hashiras themselves will band together once more and cooperate to stop him from making a getaway.

This was already seen it the previous “Demon Slayer” manga chapter, when Inosuke was still able to get up to fight Muzan and stall for some time. Inosuke wasn’t really expecting to take the strongest demon down by himself. His aim was to stall him and keep him engaged hoping that some of the Hashiras will be able to recover enough strength and join him in fighting the demon.

And that’s likely to happen in “Demon Slayer” 198. Tamayo made enough medicine to heal the wounded and restore their fighting ability to a certain degree. More Hashira’s are likely to join the fray making it increasingly difficult for Muzan to extricate himself from the battlefield.

Muzan running out of time

But escaping would be the priority in Muzan’s mind in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.” After all, there are only 25 minutes to go before dawn, which means he has to somehow find a way to escape in that brief window. Since he was unable to absorb Nezuko’s Day Walking ability, he knows sunlight is still his weakness and his defeat will be written in stone if dawn arrives.

But escaping the Hashiras won’t be an easy feat for the weakened Muzan. “They get up over and over again to buy time until dawn… until the moment they can take my life,” the demon observed his opponents conviction.

Obanai and Tanjiro

Meanwhile, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 198 is also expected to reveal what happened to Tanjiro and Obanai, who were previously hit with Muzan’s Demon Blood arts. Tanjiro had this daring idea of using the Nichirin blade to counter the effects of Muzan’s blood but it still remains to be seen if he was successful.

Obanai, on the other hand, has not been featured in the most recent chapter. Hopefully, fans will get an update on the Snake Pillar in “Demon Slayer” chapter 198.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” will be officially released on Mangaplus on March 15. Stay tuned for more updates.
