The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 188” release date would finally arrive in a couple of days. But for fans who just can’t wait, here are a few speculations on what the installment might bring, which includes the possibility that Tanjiro might still be able to learn of Yoriichis complete sword forms.
As predicted by previous “Demon Slayer” spoilers, the recent chapter showcased the fight between Yoriichi and Muzan. At first, the demon lord was a bit disdainful of his opponent viewing him as just another low-level swordsman that he could kill with ease.
Indeed, Muzan had the qualifications to be aloof. Even Yoriichi felt a chill down his spine upon realizing that just a scratch from the demon’s attack could probably kill him. Thankfully, he is agile and fast as well so he was able to preserve his life for some time.
Then something unexpected happened. Under the pressure of facing a fearsome enemy, Yoriichi managed to complete his sword forms.
Tanjiro, who was just relieving his ancestor’s memory, tried desperately to let Yoriichi know that he wants to learn everything, even the 13th form as well. Unfortunately, he was merely a spectator to the show, but he nevertheless learned how Muzan was defeated.
Yoriichi used the technique Crimson Red Nichirin Blade which countered with Muzan’s regenerative ability. Muzan was shocked when, to his horror, his severed head could no longer be reattached back to his body.
Now, there’s a “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Chapter 188 speculation concerning this Crimson Red Nichirin Blade technique as this is the one move that Tanjiro desperate needs to fight against Muzan.
There must be a way for Tanjiro to uncover this technique, which will hopefully all be revealed in “Demon Slayer” Chapter 188. At the end of the recent chapter, Yoriichi was chatting with Tanjiro’s ancestor Sumiyoshi about his feelings of failure at being able to totally eliminate Muzan when he had the chance.
Yoriichi firmly believed that he was given his fighting prowess for the purpose of defeating Muzan, a mission that he ultimately failed. Muzan opted to explode his body into 1,800 pieces. However, Yoriichi only managed to destroy 1,500 pieces while the rest escaped and eventually regenerated into the Muzan that Tanjiro is fighting in the current timeline.
While Yoriichi failed his mission in his lifetime, it does not mean he can’t let others continue the work after him. In fact, that just might be the meaning of his tears when he held Sumiyoshi's child, he finally found a way to continue fighting even if he dies.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Chapter 188 could reveal that Yoriichi might have chosen Sumiyoshi’s descendants as the inheritors of his fighting style and sword forms. There’s a possibility that he might have left some form of a scroll or manual to Sumiyoshi intended for his descendant strong enough to walk the demon slayer path.
Of course, it’s also interesting that Tanjiro would be seeing the memories of his ancestor so vividly. Does this imply that it might just be more than a memory fragment and that Yoriichi’s teachings might be contained within it as well?
“Demon Slayer” Chapter 188 will arrive on December 22, 2019. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting manga series.
