Bellevue, WA, Sept. 07, 2017 -- Limeade, an employee engagement company on a mission to improve well-being in the world, announced Tony Kippen as the new Vice President of Business Insights. Kippen will lead the data strategy for Limeade, overseeing the data engineering team, data science, Limeade Insights Dashboard and business analyst teams.

"Tony has been instrumental in driving and supporting a number of key product roadmap initiatives, including our Turnover, Engagement and Business Results Dashboards, our Azure and AWS Data Lake for third party data ingestion, a highly scalable, real-time, transaction-level data warehouse and much more," said Erick Rivas, co-founder and CTO of Limeade.
In his new role, Kippen will continue the big data focus of Limeade, guiding the creation of new capabilities and products. His teams use data to deliver the right programs, activities, tools and resources to the right users at the right time – and in the most digestible way.
“There is so much opportunity in bringing even more big data and machine learning approaches to social, employee engagement and well-being programs,” said Kippen. “I’m excited to uncover new paths for users, companies, Limeade and myself. It’s so important, and almost a completely untapped opportunity.”
Kippen’s deep expertise in online analytics is a great fit for Limeade as the company expands its technology footprint and well-being and engagement market position. Prior to joining Limeade, Kippen built the data warehouse and data science team at Aquantive, an online advertising company that sold to Microsoft for $6 billion in 2007.
Kippen built the Business Insights team at Limeade, starting in 2015. Under Kippen’s leadership, the Business Insights team delivered rapid innovation in four key areas:
- Translating data into actionable insights
- Delivering self-service Insights Dashboards
- Measuring results using the Limeade Results Model
- Applying data science, big data, machine learning and predictive analytics to employee engagement and well-being programs
"He has demonstrated top notch leadership skills in driving innovation, owning results, inspiring teams and contributing to the strategic direction of Limeade,” said Erick Rivas. "He continuously shows that he cares about people and their well-being, and is great teammate.”
Kippen lives in the greater Seattle area with his wife and three children. He enjoys camping, golf and spending time with his family.
