As if trying to make good on the promise of the show’s name, “Dark” Season 2 is going to be quite the depressing set of episodes, indeed. This is if what a writer for the series recently said is true in that there are going to be several dead characters coming up who viewers might actually care about. What’s more, it would appear that there are going to be some differing timelines.
As Business Times reports, a copy of the script for the show made it online, thus revealing what fans can expect from the events in “Dark” Season 2 and how the last season’s cliffhanger will turn out. Basically, the matter of the jump in the timeline will make for quite the whacky ride as viewers will be treated to several new incarnations of the characters they know.
Basically, part of “Dark” Season 2 will be set in the year 2052 and it is the kind of post-apocalyptic environment that would fit this show quite well. The various characters who find themselves in timelines that differ from one another will have a common thread, of course, but the prospect of the end times simply makes everything so much more intriguing.
Based on what the leaked script says about the events in “Dark” Season 2, though, there will be different jumps throughout the centuries that fans can look forward to. There will be the 1912 timeline, that is expected to be in the early parts of the season, and then there will be jumps to include 1954 and 2020.
Suffice it to say, “Dark” Season 2 is going to be the very best that sci-fi has to offer since it will be spiced up with plenty of intrigue, engaging plot points, and plenty of character deaths. It would also appear that most of the focus will be on the older versions of the characters that viewers know. This should become apparent enough when the new season airs around late 2019.
