In the latest episode of “Dancing With The Stars,” emotions were pretty high, thanks to the dance competition’s Most Memorable Year Week presentation.
Rashad Jennings and partner Emma Slater floored the judges, managing to rack an almost perfect score for their contemporary number, and perhaps the NFL star, story about his father The Baltimore Sun said Jennings had most of the room in tears after dedicating the dance to his father, whom he said in a video montage had a rough time bringing up the family.
Orlando Sentinel said judges Julianne Hough and Carrie Ann Inaba gave the duo standing ovations, while Bruno Tonioli stated praised the mesmerizing number. Although Len Goodman was the only one who gave a score lower than 10, he did say nice things about the couple’s movements and lifts.
Mr. T, on the other hand, did not fare well in the challenge, and was booted out from the competition. Although he and his partner Kym Johnson Herjavec’s waltz performance didn’t score well, the former wrestler-turned-actor believed that he wasn’t booted out, but rather eased off gradually from the competition. He told GMA, “Ain’t nobody going to boot Mr. T off. As a competitor, we left it on the dance floor like we’re supposed to. We walked off with grace and style.”
Meanwhile, former “The Bachelor” star Nick Viall and his fiancee Vanessa Grimaldi lightened up the mood with a little sexy routine following the fomer’s rhumba number with partner Peta Murgatroyd. PEOPLE.com said that Viall, at the end of the couple’s performance, pulled Grimaldi from the sidelines, lifted her up in the air, and then locked lips with her.
