This is the fourth annual conference co-hosted by AFCEA International and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA). More than 1,300 professionals serving in the public, private, military and academic sectors in support of U.S. intelligence and national security attended the summit in 2016.
The 2017 summit theme is “The State of U.S. Intelligence: A Time of Transition, Challenge, and Innovation” and will foster dialogue and debate during six plenary and nine breakout sessions. In addition to keynotes from Bossert and Coats, plenaries will feature:
- leaders of the six principal U.S. intelligence agencies, including the recently confirmed FBI Director Christopher Wray;
- intelligence chiefs from the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Joint Staff;
- leading members of the Senate and House intelligence oversight committees, including Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA); and
- senior counterterrorism officials from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Germany joined by U.S. National Counterterrorism Center Director Nick Rasmussen for candid assessments of evolving terrorist threats to the United States and its allies and to discuss strategies for combating terrorists separately and collaboratively.
The breakouts will cover a range of topics where public-private cooperation can strengthen national security, including cyber readiness, critical infrastructure protection, acquisition, innovation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and insider threat mitigation.
