Crystal Pepsi is back for an exclusive, limited-time run to celebrate its 30th anniversary and provide a refreshing taste of nostalgia for fans who participate in its latest sweepstakes.
The clear cola debuted in 1992 and was pulled from the US market within two years, and less than a year after PepsiCo marketed it in a series of commercials, including a Super Bowl ad that featured Van Halen’s “Right Now.”
However, fans have campaigned for the drink’s return over the following decades.
Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing at Pepsi, said they wanted to do something extra special to celebrate 30th anniversary and reward their passionate fans clamoring online for its return
Crystal Pepsi fans can win a taste by tweeting out a picture of themselves in the ’90s using hashtags #ShowUsYour90s and #PepsiSweepstakes.
Only 300 randomly selected fans get to receive their prize of six bottles of Crystal Pepsi.
The contest ends Friday.
