What to Expect in the Final Season?
“Criminal Minds” season 15 will show a time jump and it was showrunner Erica Messer who revealed this detail. In her interview with TV Guide, she said, “The emotional journey of our heroes picks up about six months after this finale has aired, and chasing the Chameleon.”
The showrunner went on to reveal what the viewers will see in “Criminal Minds” season 15. So, how will the story go in the series’ finale? Erica Messer said, “We haven't broken the end of the series yet but, ideally, we're catching that guy (the Chameleon).”
She said that they decided to make Mike Moseley as the villain in the final “Criminal Minds” season 15 because he did an amazing job with that “Chameleon” episode. “We just felt like that was a worthy adversary, especially given how he really shocked and rocked Rossi's world,” Messer shared. “We pick up with Rossi's obsession in catching him in the final ten, and then that will play throughout, which is, you know, not a usual thing for us.”
“Criminal Minds” season 15’s last 10 episodes will be divided into two parts and it was said that they will be a 2-hour story. Lastly, Messer stated that they will make sure to honor all the people they have worked with through the show for years. CBS has yet to announce the release date for the fifteenth and last season.
