Fans already know that “Criminal Minds” season 15 is the end of their favorite police procedural crime drama. CBS is concluding the story the group of behavioral profilers who were known as the FBI’s BAU unit (Behavioral Analysis Unit).
After 14 long years and filming more than 300 episodes, the “Criminal Minds” cast and production crew finally wrapped up filming for their final run. It is sad but the cast shared that they have many good memories to keep from filming the show.
As Joe Mantegna (FBI Supervisory Special Agent David Rossi) stated in his farewell letter to the viewers of “Criminal Minds,” “As I packed up my belongings from my trailer and load the car, I am satisfied with what we have accomplished and proud of the work.”
In any case, some details for “Criminal Minds” season 15 is already available and for the first time, its airing schedule has been posted by CBS. The disclosure of this schedule is rare but this is a special case as the show is ending so it was unveiled.
“Criminal Minds” season 15 will be on air on CBS every Wednesday at 10 p.m. and it has been scheduled in the programming list for midseason release. When asked why the show was given this playdate, CBS’ president in entertainment said that it was mainly due to the number of episodes.
“There are only 10 episodes,” Kahl told Deadline. “The plan is to play ‘Criminal Minds’ on Wednesday night where it has aired, creating a mini season and giving the ‘SEAL Team’ and ‘S.W.A.T.’ weeks off in the middle of the season to avoid repeats.”
Finally, although it was mentioned that “Criminal Minds” season 15 is set to air in midseason, the exact date was not revealed. However, it is expected to be released in the last quarter of 2019 and will run until early 2020.
