“Criminal Minds” Season 14 production has officially begun as announced via a tweet by the show’s Twitter handle, Cartermatt reported. The previous season left fans with a heart-pounding cliffhanger and as of now, there’s still no way of knowing what will occur.
Before the upcoming "Criminal Minds" Season 14, Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) uncovered the identity of the mole inside of the FBI and had the protagonist at gunpoint. Meanwhile, it was discovered that the mole’s cult had taken Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) hostage, creating a mess of a scenario where it’s tremendously difficult to take a shot without harming one of the show’s favorite girl.
Erica Messer spoke exclusively with TV Guide about “Criminal Minds” Season 14 and how the next installment will have the show’s characters deal with the situation without the help of two major protagonists. She added that the sidelined members are essential to the plot moving forward.
"The challenges we're coming up with now are, 'Gosh, if we have two of our MVPs sitting on the sidelines here, what can we do? What clues do they possibly leave behind for us to help find where they're being held or how we help to solve this case without them?'" Messer said. "It's one of the first times, I think, we've ever been without, truly, truly without the help of both of them," the "Criminal Minds" Season 14 star added.
The episode count for “Criminal Minds” Season 14 has yet to be announced but it seems the production team will create 15 for this installment. However, this figure can be extended and the crew is gearing up to set the stage as if they’re going to film more than 15 episodes.
Executive producer Harry Bring has already released an official airing date for “Criminal Minds” Season 14, which will be on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. 10 pm CBS. While it’s only a few months away, diehard fans of the show are already excited to find out what will happen next for the series’ heroes, especially with the previous season ending the way it did.
