Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) is going to find himself in a dilemma when “Chicago PD” Season 6 Episode 5 airs on Oct. 24, at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC. Titled “Fathers and Sons,” the episode will feature Ruzek going undercover in an attempt to catch drug traffickers, but things become complicated when he finds out that his father, "Disco Bob" Ruzek (Jack Coleman), is working for a suspected drug dealer.
The episode synopsis doesn’t really give away much of “Chicago PD” Season 6 Episode 5’s plot, but TVLine has also shared an exclusive video and it shows that Ruzek’s father has a security job at a strip club. But does Bob know that his boss is hiding something?
Based on the video, it seems Bob is surprised when he hears about his boss’ suspected involvement in the drug trade. “I think Ruzek, for the most part, never believes it until a certain point, until he goes, ‘Oh, this is actually a little wacky. Maybe something’s off here,'” Flueger told TVLine.
“Chicago PD” Season 6 Episode 5 will also delve deeper into the relationship between Ruzek and Bob, and Flueger noted that there will be times when the son will have to act like he is the father. “I’m telling him what to do, and I can’t really give him all of the info because I’ve got to protect the case. It’s uncomfortable. Watching Ruzek be kind of a little boy in his father’s eyes, and trying to man up and direct his father down a certain path, it’s a color maybe we’ve never seen before,” Flueger said.
“Chicago PD” Season 6 Episode 5 will show an interesting dynamic between father and son. But viewers have to wonder if Bob will be in grave danger. Is this going to be Bob’s final appearance in “Chicago PD”?
