“Chicago Fire” Season 7 Episode 4 will have the people of the city threatened as several explosions rock multiple areas and put Firehouse 51 on high alert. But it isn’t just the fire department that’s going to work overtime as the police will have their hands full as well, Carter Matt reported.
Indeed, a teaser clip from “Chicago Fire” Season 7 Episode 4 reveals this development when the cops are called after Captain Casey (Jesse Spencer) quickly deduces what caused the explosion. The adept firefighter notes metal casings in the scene, which has burn marks on the inside but completely untouched on the exterior.
Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) also plucks a pin from the ground, a piece that he first assumes to be what’s left of a fire extinguisher. Casey, however, puts the two puzzles together and quickly realizes it was a grenade that caused the explosion. “Chicago Fire” Season 7 Episode 4 will explore how the victim managed to blow his arm off with the grenade, as well as investigate what or who is causing the other blasts in the city.
“Chicago Fire” Season 7 Episode 4 will also develop some of the characters on the show, with Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) returning to the series. Stella is set to build her relationship with Severide (Taylor Kinney), a bond that will be solidified in this installment.
"It's been going really well so. We're finally in a good, grounded place," Taylor Kinney said. "[Stellaride] offers up a change of pace where you have Casey going through a lot and Severide being the guy with the ear lending the advice."
Optimistic as this statement is, Severide doesn’t exactly have a gleaming history with relationships and there’s a high chance of screwing things up with Stella. Of course, this blunder will be shown in the later part of this installment and “Chicago Fire” Season 7 Episode 4 will first need to build the romance between the characters. The next episode is slated to air on Oct. 17.
